The Turkish General Directorate of Maritime Affairs issued a statement on its social media account regarding the grounding incident involving the Greek-flagged product tanker, MINERVA ANTONIA.
"On 23.04.2024 at 23:35, the Minerva Antonia ran aground while attempting to depart from İskenderun Global Terminal. Fortunately, there have been no reports of damage or sea pollution, and efforts are underway to devise a plan for the safe removal of the vessel from the grounding site."
