The 11,000 TEU vessels will feature scrubbers and other eco-friendly technologies, with deliveries scheduled between Q3 2027 and Q4 2028.

This latest order follows a previous contract in May for four methanol-fueled ships, reflecting the company’s fleet renewal strategy. "The deployment details will be made known nearer delivery dates," X-Press Feeders said.

The ships will incorporate energy-saving solutions to reduce fuel consumption, optimize speed, and lower carbon emissions. X-Press Feeders has also launched Europe’s first scheduled feeder network powered by green methanol, connecting Rotterdam, Antwerp Bruges, Finland, and the Baltics.

The company highlighted that green methanol can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 65% compared to conventional fuels, supporting sustainable shipping and advancing environmental goals in global maritime logistics.
