In a charming annual tradition, a Turkish fisherman, Adem Yılmaz, has once again welcomed back his feathery friend, Yaren the stork, in the Karacabey district of Bursa province.

The heartwarming story began 13 years ago when Yaren perched on Yılmaz's boat during a fishing trip on Uluabat Lake.

Renowned wildlife photographer Alper Tüydeş has captured delightful moments of their reunion, showcasing the enduring bond between the fisherman and the stork.

The international fame of their friendship grew after Tüydeş shared their story.

To make this annual event even more special, the Karacabey District Municipality has installed cameras near Yaren's nest, offering a live stream of its stay in the district during the spring season.
