The cargo holds of the Belgrace are designed for the efficient handling of solid bulk cargo, equipped with top and funnel tanks. The cargo compartment includes a large opening to facilitate loading and unloading, and features folding hatch covers that can be opened in either direction to optimize space and reduce labor requirements.

For ports without sufficient handling facilities, the deck is outfitted with four cranes to manage cargo operations.

Primarily, the Belgrace will transport grain and coal but is also capable of carrying a variety of other cargoes, including iron ore, cement, steel coils, and IMDG Code-compliant dangerous goods.
