These vessels are set to be delivered by the shipbuilding division of Sumec, a state-owned machinery manufacturer, between the end of October 2027 and the end of May 2028.

The contract, valued at approximately $104.3 million, includes two confirmed units of the Crown 63 Plus design and an optional third newbuild, which is anticipated to be approved by July this year.

The first newbuild is priced at $35.15 million, excluding any additional work required during construction. The remaining two vessels, scheduled for delivery in 2028, are priced at $34.6 million each, according to IHB.

Currently, IHB Shipping's fleet consists of two supramax and two handy bulkers, all constructed at IHB’s Bulyard shipyard, with the most recent order placed in 2010.
