According to the first information obtained at Evyapport Port in Körfez Kirazlıyalı Neighborhood, 4 cranes working as a result of the collision of the container ship named YM WITNESS while trying to dock to the port overturned.
It is learned that the worker inside the crane used for container loading was seriously injured.
Upon the incident, many health, fire brigade and police teams were dispatched to the scene.

Today at 15.45, Hong Kong flagged 368 m long container ship "YM WITNESS" hit the port cranes during the berthing maneuver to Kocaeli Evyap Port under the supervision of the pilot, causing them to overturn and several containers from the ship fell into the sea.
