This year’s event has attracted notable companies, including Caterpillar, Tata Steel, Siemens Energy, Manuchar Steel, ArcelorMittal, Thyssenkrupp, Steelforce, Toyota, and Hitachi Energy. The strong interest highlights the importance of in-person networking in managing complex cargo operations.
Peter Molloy, a member of AXL's advisory board, spoke on the collaborative approach to organizing the event. He noted that working with the AXL team and fellow board members allowed the creation of a program focused on addressing both current and future challenges in project and breakbulk transport.
Marc de Beunje of DHL described AXL 2024 as a key industry event, citing the quality of registrations and the variety of companies involved. He emphasized the opportunity for participants to engage with peers, explore innovative solutions, and work toward sustainability and strategic objectives.
This year’s event will introduce two new initiatives. The Recruitment Day, powered by TL-Hub on 10 October, will connect industry professionals with employers, while the 40 Under 40 Awards will recognize young professionals making an impact in the sector.
The agenda includes a chartering course, a tour of the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, and networking events, such as the BusinessRun and drinks hosted by WISTA Belgium. The event will conclude with the 40 Under 40 Awards Ceremony and a brunch in the networking lounge.
With registration numbers already exceeding expectations, early sign-up is encouraged for those wishing to participate in this industry event.
